| Ever since I was a little girl, I have been very curious and tried lots of crazy experiments. My head was full of crazy ideas. I will share some of them on this page. If you like at least one of the ideas, you can call yourself a crazy person like me! :P |

| BALLOON AND SPACE |
I was always wondering why not to use simple huge helium balloon for transporting rockets to high altitude and then just start them from there. It would save a lot of money and rocket fuel. NASA and Russian's already tested technology starting rockets with satellites on board from planes, so why not to try use balloons instead? I done some research about this, a lot of private and government organizations using balloons to delivery scientific equipment to high altitude, here some examples: |

I know there is "some" technical problems, say size of helium balloon if he needs to carry a rocket with weight is minimum 36 tones. Also there is need of cable to hold so havy balloon. Also there it should be some safety procedures for not allowing rocket with full tanks of fuel to fall back on earth. The good thing is that helium itself is not flammable gas. But still balloom should be done from some heat resistant balloon. At this moment our helium balloons are reaching a altitude of 30-40km its quiet high altitude, to reach space you still need to climb some more 70km but with this technology you should burn less rocket fuel and you are much closer to the barrier of space so the same size rocket can fly much longer distance. I would like to hear some ideas why we still not using similar technology. |
