Kinofest is the first digital film festival in Romania, since 2007.
Kinofest has the explicit goal of promoting young film-makers, artists and their work – film, music and visual art-wise; and, also, to cultivate the interest in and promote the arts and media culture among the general public throught independent film, video and new media making.

Now in its third year, Kinofest film festival is even bigger and better than ever! In partnership with Art and Me, the festival promises to be more opened for the UK market, achieving five days of more films, more concerts and various events and expositions, showcasing the very best work from filmmakers across the globe.

Kinofest includes 3 competitions (Animation, Fiction, Micromovie), with 3 distinct juries. Each competition will have only one winner: Best Animation, Best Fiction, Best Micromovie.

This is a short video from my Birthday Party. The party took place in Windsor, in a club called Chicago. I can recommend it without hesitation as I was very impressed by the atmosphere and staff. I can say it was one of the best parties I've ever had!

This video is about Urban Roof Gardens, which presented green roofs at Grand Designs Live 2010. Pierre Wilter talks about green roofs and its benefit, budget, planning permissions and time frame.

The video was recorded with Sanyo Xacti VPC-WH1. The lighting was very poor, therefore the image is not at its best.

This is a short film about my holiday in Gran Canaria. This is a very nice place to go, I loved it very much! The hotel Interclub Atlantic is very nice, big garden, with 3 pools and jacuzzi.. I loved it. Don't stay in one place. Visit the Maspalomas dunes, go for Aqualand, Anfi beach is great! Lovely beach, white sand, looks like in Domenic Republic.

The shots were recorded with my new camera Sanyo, and I tested it for the first time underwater. It was realy nice, and it worked. But at some point it created steam on the lens.. Not very good...

The Innocence' is a short film that has as a theme the cancer. It is indeed a subject that we all should think of, especially the women. The idea is that the women need to take care of themselves, needs to be beautifull and needs to be healthy.

The shots were filmed in Uganda, Kampala. The camera used was a much better one than on the previous films. I used the Sanyo Xacti VPC-WH1. The actors involved were Sera Kiraaka with her lovely daughter Francesca Kiraaka and of course the lovely Rino.

''Inocenta' is a short film that has as a theme the cancer.

It is 'The Innocence', edited for the Romanian market. The film took part in the 'Cancer' ompetition organised by Avon. The text was witten in Romanian.

The Ultimate Question’ film, represents the questions we all have during our life, trying to find a meaning in life. Who am I? Where am I going to? What am I aiming for? and so on…

The short film was done with a mixture of images and photos to express the speed of life.

This is a short documentary from my trip to Africa, where I took the chance to record the beauties of Africa. The place is full of traditions and culture. I am describing their transportation, their way of doing business and an overview of the landscape, and what Kampala is.

The filming was not done with a professional camera, but as a beginner, it was a good opportunity to have enough footage and tell a story. I had also used some of the images from youtube, just to give it more flavour.

The camcorder used in shooting the film, is not professional, all the settings are automatic... actualy no settings at all... It was filmed with an old Sony photo camera.. But not bad... I could still film something for my little film:) Hope you enjoy watching it! :)

The documentary had to be 3 min short and it was a great challenge to cut to the size it is now. We had about 3 hours of footage, and in the end it was cut down to 3 min. The movie was shot with the university's equipment, and edited in Avid.

The brief was to make 8 shots film for Lens and Sound Craft project. It supposed to have a BCU, CU, MS, LS, Focus pull, Pan, Tilt, Handheld moving camera. I had to choose between 5 titles and I had chosen 'James makes a cup of tea'. Unfortunately I couldn't use any effect. They were more interested into the storyboards, composition and how the film was shot in those 8 shots and how the pieces were connected to tell the story: making a cup of tea. The film was shot with the university's equipment, and edited in Avid.
